DiploLife
Accessibility statement
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Our approach
DiploLife is a members-only digital service (a web app, with phone apps in development). It has no physical premises or public service counters. We aim to make it usable for people with disabilities.
Our technical target is WCAG 2.2 AA. Applicable Israeli SI 5568 and European EN 301 549 requirements must be assessed separately; these checks are not legal certification. The service has not been independently audited or certified, and we do not claim compliance with any law or standard.
What we have done
- A "Skip to main content" link and a visible focus outline for keyboard users.
- Shared buttons, menus and dialogs use standard controls that work with Tab, Enter and Space; icon-only buttons and desk objects have text names.
- Every desk object also appears in a plain list of buttons under the desk picture.
- The interactive globe has a list of the same countries as buttons, shown when focused, so it is not the only way to find contacts.
- The moving globe on the home page has a pause button. Animations also stop when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Form fields have visible labels; error messages are announced. Sign-in allows pasting and password managers.
- Text colours and form borders were checked against the WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- The interface is available in English, German and Hebrew (right-to-left). Names and text you enter keep their own direction; email, web address, phone and PIN fields stay left-to-right.
- QR codes can also be shared as a link, and a photo can be used instead of the camera.
- We do not use third-party accessibility overlay tools.
How we checked
Automated checks (axe-core) on the public home, accessibility, sign-in and demo desk pages in English, German and Hebrew; keyboard checks; and page layout at narrow widths equivalent to 200% and 400% zoom. Member pages behind sign-in have had code review but not yet a full hands-on test.
Known limitations
- Screen-reader testing with VoiceOver (iPhone/Mac) and TalkBack (Android) has not been completed.
- The phone apps are not released yet and have not been tested for accessibility.
- On small screens some desk picture objects are smaller than 24 pixels. The same destinations are available as full-size buttons below the picture.
- Member pages have not yet had a full hands-on keyboard, zoom and contrast test.
- Some member areas (events, verification, administration and others) are still shown in English only.
- Private messaging is currently switched off.
Feedback and help
If something is hard to use, or you need information in another format, email admin@diplomatlife.com with the page and what went wrong. This is the project's general business mailbox; a named accessibility coordinator has not been appointed yet.
